My first week at my second Workaway stay has quickly coming to a close. Wednesday & Thursday were my first days off so I decided to do some exploring!
Up until I set off for my second Workaway, I thought I had it down pact when it came to public transportation. I made my way through Denmark, Amsterdam and Madrid with little to no issues. So why would traveling down to Southern Spain be any different? Well, a lot. That’s the answer I discovered the hard way.
You realize a lot about yourself when traveling solo. How you act in certain situations or react to challenges provides incredible insight to your true self. One insight I gained this past week about myself is that I’m hesitant to ask questions.
After bouncing around from Copenhagen to Amsterdam to Madrid, I am finally settling in at my second Workaway volunteer stay in Conil de la Frontera, Spain!

Traveling for the first time solo, I wouldn’t necessarily classify myself as a “goner” but I definitely should not have had it as easy as I have. This is all thanks to the kindness of strangers.
Last Saturday concluded my first volunteer experience with Workaway. The previous three weeks spent in Stege, Denmark flew by quicker than I had anticipated. Leading up to my final days, I was extremely antsy to move on to the next chapter of my trip. However, during one of our group meditation sessions, I realized how precious the rest of my time here was and wanted to spend my last days reflecting on my experience.
