Have you ever used the term, “Treat Yo Self”, as justification for making a purchase or opting out of something? If so, in all honesty, how often do you use this excuse?
When it comes to making life choices, big or small, the “Treat Yo Self” alternative has become more prevalent in decision-making than it was meant for. And it needs to come to a halt – for your sake and your bank account’s sake.

I’m putting a little twist on #TBTs by doing a Travel Back Thursday. Please join me as I hop into my time portal machine (yes, it’s a limited edition) and travel back to when my boyfriend and I went to a famous Bath House in Budapest and got a couples massage!

Gender equality and social views on women are issues that places all over this world still struggle with. So it is to no surprise that when a woman is traveling alone, it’s conceived by most to be more dangerous and risky than it would be for a man.
In this interesting Huffington Post article by Elizabeth Sharma, What men need to know about women who travel solo, she shares her insights after encountering a man who attempts to inform her of the danger she could find herself in during her stay in South Africa.

Do you ever find yourself thinking so much about how to be “creative” and ~*artsy*~ on a specific project that you never actually complete the project?
You are not alone, my friend. The struggle is real for those of us that drown our creative senses in overthinking and indecisiveness.

What a better way to kickstart a new week than by introducing my newly added series, Monday Mini-Vacay Recap!
For those who enjoy a nice weekend getaway like I do, you may also enjoy indulging your coworkers on how unbelievably awesome your trip was come Monday at work (or for myself & the other unemployed millennials, it’s more like sharing them with your pet).
For my first Monday Mini-Vacay Recap, I’ll be sharing my weekend trip up to the world-renowned New York City!

Since I am playing catch up on writing about the final leg of my European trip, I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on that will help paint the picture of my time abroad.
Under the Travel page, I’ve added the subpage Europe. There, you will find all of the posts and projects from my European trip. My most recent project, Europe through a panoramic view, gives the ultimate highlights of my trip through panoramic pictures I captured on my iPhone 6.
Since I am more of a visual person/learner, what better way to illustrate the beauty I was subjected to on this trip than through photography? Although my pictures don’t come close to seeing these phenomenal views in person, I hope they captured a sliver of their beauty for you all to enjoy!
Forever En Route has undergone a few changes this summer and I’m ecstatic to share them with you! Originally designed to be a travel blog that promoted independent female world travel, I’ve decided to expand Forever En Route’s focus. Being “forever en route” doesn’t mean you’re solely learning and growing through your travels; it means you’re experiencing personal growth through everything you do in life.
Below I’ve outlined Forever En Route’s 3 major changes:

My 4 month excursion through Europe has sadly come to an end and after a 6 week hiatus from my blog, it is time to get back to writing!
Moving forward, be on the lookout for weekly posts about more shenanigans from my trip, what I’m getting into this summer, and what I have cookin’ up for the future.
What do you do when a stranger is not familiar with or understanding of social context cues? My patience has worn thin with men who ignore the cues and cross the line.

As I surpass the halfway point of my trip, I decided to write a reflection piece on Forever En Route. In this piece, I highlight a few of the challenges I’ve faced, insight on other solo female travelers I’ve met, and a handful of life takeaways I’ve learned through traveling.
To read more, wander on over the Traveling Solo Dolo page and you’ll find my reflection piece, Come meet me half way.
Also, I’m always looking for ways to improve my blog, writing, images, content, etc. Any and all feedback is encouraged and welcomed!
